About The Founder
For over twenty-five years, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting students and families as they navigate the exciting—and sometimes challenging—transition into college life. My journey began working with high school students in a pre-college program, helping them prepare academically and emotionally for the next big step. From there, I supported individuals as a transitions counselor, guiding those who needed extra preparation to thrive in their first year of college.
For the past 17 years, I’ve specialized in academic support and disability services, working with students navigating ADHD, mental health challenges, and academic struggles. I’ve had the privilege of helping students not only adjust to college but truly grow into their independence. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA, which helps me combine strategic thinking with real-world support.
Why I Started Navigate College
After working with college students for many years, I became a parent of a college student myself—and everything shifted. I realized that while I had years of experience guiding students through the first-year transition, many families didn’t have anyone to walk alongside them. There were so many questions and so few resources aimed specifically at parents and caregivers.
Navigate College was born out of a desire to fill that gap—to offer families clear, honest, and practical guidance from someone who’s lived it both professionally and personally.
My Approach
My philosophy is simple: keep it real.
I don’t believe in fluff, jargon, or talking above anyone’s head. Whether you’re a student or a parent, I believe in giving you the information you need in a way that makes sense. This is a no-judgment zone. I’m not here to lecture—I’m here to help. Straightforward, supportive, and always real.
What Makes This Work Different
What makes this work meaningful to me—and hopefully to you—is that I truly care. I take the time to listen, to ask thoughtful questions, and to get to know your story beyond a checklist. Families and students often tell me they feel at ease talking with me, and that’s something I take a lot of pride in.
I want you to feel seen, supported, and confident every step of the way.
